LITTLE PRAIRIE


NAMPA, Jan. 5-L.Cpl. Cal Williams reached Eastern Canada from Overseas Dec 15. A wire was received by his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Williams, that Cal was married to Miss Lucille Jones, 205 Mary St. Hamilton, Ont., Dec 26.


Details of the wedding at a later date. District good wishes are extended to the young couple. Cal has been in the army for the past five years, spending three years overseas.


The flu epidemic has been going its rounds here. Those on the sick list recently have been Mrs. G. Craig, Dan Lahey, Mrs. Wm. Kolababa.


Sorry to learn the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Becker, during Christmas week was admitted to the Peace River Municipal hospital.


Mrs. Albert Bell , Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Bell, Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Hawley and “Rusty” and Albert Krann attended a whist drive December 29 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. Whitney, Harmon Valley. It was to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Whitney’s twentieth wedding anniversary. Albert Krann was winner of the first prize and “Rusty” Hawley consolation prize.


Dan Lahay, Mrs. Dorothy Williams, Fred Paxton, Estelle Williams, and Albert Krann were guests at the R. Hawley home New Year’s afternoon and evening.
