NAMPA


NAMPA, April 11 – we have had several signs of spring lately: side roads are getting worse, Gordon McConnell and Ollie Gronlund are cleaning and treating oats, Mrs. T.J. Gibbon has set her incubator.


Mrs. Art Hayes is ill with measles.


Tom Gibbon returned from Grande Prairie to put his crop in. He reports feed is scarce around that point.


Several people have expressed regret at the news of W.D. Albright’s illness. His Timely Hints column will be missed.


Miss Doreen Parks is ill.


Douglas Crawford and Dennis Day, Reno, visited Buddy Rogers Sunday.

Slim Staples his gone to Saskatchewan to buy a tractor.


RENO


RENO, April 11 – scales are being installed at the stockyards.


Sgt. Major Ralph Craven leaves for Edmonton April 12 after visiting in Reno district for the past week.


Doug Sinclair arrived Tuesday, having spent the Easter vacation in Drumheller and Calgary.

Easter vacationists in Reno were Gaby Devost, Dolores Crawford, Cecil Day, Mrs. M. Sneddon, Mrs. Schneider and daughter June.


One of our citizens was prosecuted for shooting gam out of season. Let’s all cooperate and preserve our game and forests.


Mrs. Mathison returned to her home in Reno, April 6.


Miss Annie Novak and Miss Vera Matychuk arrived home Tuesday from Peace River, where they have been employed for some time.
